Buttafuoco “Cerasa”

Buttafuoco dell’Oltrepò Pavese DOC

Vineyards located in: Canneto Pavese.

Soil: the vineyards are located on a south-oriented steep sloping hillside. Sandy and cobbled soil.

Grapes: Barbera, Croatina and Ughetta di Solinga in varying proportions each vintage.

Vinification: once the polyphenols are perfectly ripe, we carefully hand-harvest the grapes. They ferment for about 8 days with the skins. After the removal of the skins, the must is put in stainless steel tanks and it is bottled within 6 months from the harvest.

Tasting notes: intense ruby red colour with violet highlights. The bouquet is rich with floral and red fruits notes, and hints of faded rose and blackberry. Smooth and round on palate with a long finish.

Pairing suggestions: it pairs well with salami, lasagne, pasta or white meat dishes.

Service temperature: best served at a 17-18 °C temperature in a glass with a large bowl.
